Anti-narcotics agents seized P95,200 worth of shabu from four drug den operators who fell in an entrapment operation in a secluded barangay in Wao, Lanao del Sur on Friday, August 1.
Municipal officials and traditional Maranao leaders told reporters on Saturday, July 11, that the four men were immediately detained by agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao after selling to them 14 grams of shabu, worth P92,200, in their drug den in Purok 2 in Barangay Manila Group in Wao.
Gil Cesario Castro, director of PDEA-BARMM, said on Saturday that the suspects are now in their custody, to be prosecuted for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Members of the Lanao del Sur Provincial Peace and Order Council, chaired by Gov. Mamintal Adoing, Jr., said the now detained suspects facilitated pot sessions in their drug den in Wao.
Under state laws, drug den operation is a non-bailable offense.
Castro said Brig. Gen. Jaysen De Guzman, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, and his subordinate-officers in PRO-BAR units in Wao, one of the 39 towns in Lanao del Sur, supported the operation that resulted in the arrest of the four drug den operators.
