COTABATO CITY (August 14, 2025) — Up to 536 indigent Muslim and Christian villagers in three barangays in this city benefited from the medical outreach missions early this week of teams from the office of a member of the Bangsamoro regional parliament.
Radio reports on Thursday, October 14, in Cotabato City and in nearby provinces stated that the medical service activities in Barangays Rosary Heights 10, Kalanganan 2 and in Mother Barangay Tamontaka were facilitated by the office of the lawyer Naguib Sinarimbo, one of the 80 members of the regional parliament in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Cotabato City, which has 37 barangays, is the capital of BARMM.
The humanitarian missions of Sinarimbo’s office in the three barangays were assisted by BARMM Chief Minister Abdulrauf Macacua and Regional Health Minister Kadil Sinolinding, Jr.
The 536 villagers served during the medical missions, among them non-Moro ethnic Tedurays, received medicines for various ailments and other health care provisions after examination by medics from the Ministry of Health-BARMM.
Barangay officials and traditional Moro leaders in Rosary Heights 10, Kalanganan 2 and Mother Barangay Tamontaka were quoted in radio reports as thanking Sinarimbo’s community service teams for having served their marginalized constituents during their medical outreach missions.
Sinarimbo was a local government minister of BARMM before he was appointed as member of the 80-seat Bangsamoro parliament last March 2025 by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
He had also served as a ranking official of the executive department of the now defunct Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao that was replaced in early 2019 with a more empowered BARMM — as part of the peace process between Malacañang and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front.
