4 NPAs killed in Bukidnon clash

Four members of the now weakened New People’s Army were killed in an encounter with patrolling soldiers in Barangay Dumalaguing in Impasug-ong, Bukidnon on Wednesday, August 13, 2025.

Officials of the Army’s 4th Infantry Division and Brigadier General Siegfried Tubalado, commander of the 403rd Infantry Brigade, separately said on Saturday, August 16, that the four guerillas were killed in a series of gunfights with soldiers dispatched to check on reports about their presence in Barangay Dumalaguing in Impasug-ong, collecting food and money from villagers at gunpoint.

The cadavers of the slain NPAs were transported to a safe area by soldiers using an Air Force helicopter, immediately turned over to local officials.

The anti-NPA operation involving the personnel of different units under the 403rd Infantry Brigade and the 4th ID’s 4th Division Reconnaissance Battalion was premised on reports late Tuesday by residents of Impasug-ong about the sightings of a band of guerillas in Barangay Dumalaguing, whose residents they subjected to extortion the next day.

Barangay officials and local executives in Impasug-ong are known for being supportive of the 4th ID’s anti-NPA campaign in their municipality.
