4 in pot session busted, locked in jail

COTABATO CITY (Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2025) — Four individuals, including two women, landed in jail, arrested in the middle of their pot session in Purok Pagkakaisa in Barangay Poblacion 2 in Cotabato City on Monday, September 8.

City officials confirmed to reporters on Wednesday, September 10, that the suspects, Asmawi Ugalingan Kalolong, 39, Wahid Manalindo Cader, 41, and their female companions, Masleha Talib Doton, 20, and the 44-year-old Belinda Yanan Tusan, occasionally peddled shabu to contacts in different barangays in Cotabato City.

Col. Jibin Bongcayao, director of the Cotabato City Police Office, told reporters on Wednesday that all of the four individuals are now in their custody.

Bongcayao said the suspects were caught by barangay officials and purok leaders in the act of sniffing shabu together in a house in Purok Pagkakaisa, acting on tips by neighbors.

Bongcayao said he is thankful to Bai Johaira Madag, chairwoman of Barangay Poblacion 2, and volunteer community watchmen under her office for having apprehended promptly the four suspects who were immediately brought by responding policemen to the Cotabato City Police Precinct for detention.

Bongcayao said the suspects had been charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
