317 Cotabato City villagers benefit from medical mission

COTABATO CITY (August 22, 2025) Up to 317 villagers, including pregnant women and children, in two barangays in Cotabato City — Mother Bagua and Bagua 1 — benefitted from the latest medical mission of one of the 80 members of the Bangsamoro regional parliament.

Barangay officials and traditional community leaders separately told reporters on Friday, August 22, that an outreach team from the office of the lawyer Naguib Sinarimbo, a member of the Bangsamoro parliament, had provided with free medicines for various ailments the Muslims, Christians and ethnic Tedurays who availed of their services in the two areas last Wednesday, August 20.

Sinarimbo said their medical mission was supported by the health minister of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, the physician-ophthalmologist Kadil Sinolinding, Jr., and BARMM’s chief minister, Abdulrauf Macacua.

Sinolinding deployed a group of health workers and physicians from the Ministry of Health-BARMM to help Sinarimbo’s team in facilitating their humanitarian activities in Barangays Mother Bagua and Bagua 1.

Sinarimbo’s public service team and physicians in the Ministry of Health-BARMM had served no fewer than 3,000 indigent villagers in Cotabato City and in BARMM’s Special Geographic Area in Cotabato Province in Administrative Region 12 via the community service activities of his office in the past three months.
