COTABATO CITY (Thursday, September 4, 2025) — Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-9 and policemen clamped down three men in whose hideout in Barangay Lunzuran in Zamboanga City they found P115,600 worth of shabu in a search operation on Wednesday night, September 3.

Bryan Babang, director of PDEA-9, told reporters on Thursday, September 4, that the operation was launched after they received tips from vigilant informants about the pot sessions of the three men in a house along Calle Sagrado in the Resettlement Area Phase 1 in Barangay Lunzuran.

Babang said the three men were immediately detained after combined PDEA-9 agents and personnel of different units of the Police Regional Office-9 and barangay officials found 17 grams of shabu, costing P115,600, in a house where they stayed together during their free time.

PDEA-9 agents also found shabu sniffing paraphernalia in one of its rooms.

Babang said the three suspects shall be prosecuted for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
